Worker Bees

Co-op Worker Bees is the name of our volunteer recruitment program. We reward CCM members with in-store discounts, to encourage them to support local non-profit organizations that need help.

Our volunteer program was created with the intention of creatively encouraging active, sustained volunteerism with nonprofit organizations who closely align CCM’s Mission, Values and Principles, and Advocacy Guidelines.

Volunteers are responsible for reaching out to our partners to schedule hours. Hours worked must be verified by a supervisor at the partner organization to count towards your monthly total.

CCM Members who accrue six (6) verified hours within a calendar month will receive a one-time discount of 10% off. Volunteers may claim up to eighteen (18) hours per month, meaning they can receive up to three (3) discounts each month. Members will be notified at check-out via register prompt when volunteer discounts are available.

The monthly maximum of eighteen (18) eligible hours applies per membership account, so primary and household members on one account will count cumulatively.

Complete the CCM Member Volunteer Agreement and download and submit your completed application at any register to start the process!

Once the signed application is received, co-op staff confirm your eligibility for the program and email you with confirmation.

Unfortunately we cannot offer member volunteer hours in-store. However, CCM may coordinate
special volunteer events in the community. We will communicate event details with volunteers through
our website and emails.

To earn volunteer discounts CCM Member Volunteers must volunteer at a pre-approved CCM partner organization. CCM Partner organizations are selected because they closely align with CCMs Mission, Values and Principles, and Advocacy Guidelines.

Yes! As long as the nonprofits you volunteer for are pre-approved CCM partner organizations, you can spread your hours out across multiple organizations.

No. CCM’s donation program exists to create active, sustained volunteerism for our partner non-profit organizations.

Volunteers are not required to volunteer every month, but they should remain active consistently throughout the year. Member Volunteers who have remained inactive for four (4) consecutive months will be unenrolled from the program and must reapply to be eligible to receive future volunteer discounts.

We will process submitted hours no later than the 15th of each month. CCM staff will process approved hours at that time and issue discounts to your CCM Member account within 72 hours of that date.
